Where You’ll Ride

Basecamp: Lancefield, VIC

From this charming country town, we set off into the raw, untamed beauty of Victoria’s Northern Goldfields Region. Over the two-day loop, you’ll ride through:

➡️Heathcote-Graytown National Park

➡️Tallarook State Forest

➡️Cobaw State Forest

➡️Rushworth State Forests

…and more hidden gems only the locals know!

You’ll roll through history—following tracks carved by miners, winding past crumbling relics and forgotten towns, all while conquering terrain that tests your skill and rewards your spirit.

What to Expect on the Trail

This isn’t just a scenic cruise—expect a varied and dynamic off-road experience, with:       

⛰️ Ridgelines and clay flats

🌲 Bushland bursts and Ironbark forest trails

🛣️ Twisting hardpack and gravel backroads

💨 Dry creek beds and flowing farmland runs

We’ve mapped out routes that keep it fun and safe for Grade 2 riders while giving you space to learn, explore, and challenge yourself.

Route Highlights & Country Towns

Along the way, you’ll pass through or near:

Pyalong, Tooborac, Heathcote, Mount Camel, Graytown, Colbinabbin, Toolleen, Knowsley, and Costerfield.

Each brings a touch of old-world charm and bushland character—ideal spots for fuel, photos, and a quick breather.

Tyre Requirements

For all adventure riding, we strongly recommend a minimum of 50/50 tyres. Given the time of year and the conditions expected on this ride, 70/30 off-road-oriented tyres are highly recommended to confidently handle wet gravel, back roads, and remote trail sections—especially in wet or changing weather.
